Balanced teams
Assessments help create teams where players can compete, improve, and build confidence without turning Rec into a tryout culture.
CYF Rec gives Chelan and Manson girls in 8U, 10U, and 13U a spring fastpitch program with balanced teams, age-appropriate fundamentals, and a place to learn how to compete, care for the field, and represent their community well.
Assessments help create teams where players can compete, improve, and build confidence without turning Rec into a tryout culture.
Rec practices should teach throwing, fielding, hitting, base running, safety, and the everyday habits that make players better teammates.
Players, coaches, and families help care for shared fields, communicate clearly, and keep the season positive through wins, losses, and learning moments.
Little Tykes and Rising Rookies are coed for boys and girls ages 3-6 in Chelan and Manson. CYF Rec gives Chelan and Manson girls in 8U, 10U, and 13U a team setting for building fastpitch skills. Silvers gives girls from the surrounding area a travel path when they are ready for more commitment.
Rec families should expect clear communication, positive support, and volunteer opportunities. If a family has questions about the right path for a player, the board can help sort it out.
CYF Rec registration is closed; the notification list is open. CYF expects registration in January 2027. Families for 8U, 10U, and 13U can join the list now and CYF will email when the exact opening date is confirmed.
