Balanced teams
Assessments help create teams where players can compete, improve, and build confidence without turning Rec into a tryout culture.
CYF Rec is the girls-only spring fastpitch program for Chelan and Manson players: balanced teams, age-appropriate fundamentals, and a place for players to learn how to compete, care for the field, and represent their community well.
Assessments help create teams where players can compete, improve, and build confidence without turning Rec into a tryout culture.
Rec practices should teach throwing, fielding, hitting, base running, safety, and the everyday habits that make players better teammates.
Players, coaches, and families help care for shared fields, communicate clearly, and keep the season positive through wins, losses, and learning moments.
Little Tykes and Rising Rookies are coed for boys and girls ages 3-6 in Chelan and Manson. CYF Rec is the girls-only path for Chelan and Manson players to begin putting fastpitch skills together in a team setting. Silvers is the girls-only travel path for players from the surrounding area who are ready for more commitment.
Rec families should expect clear communication, positive support, and volunteer opportunities. If a family has questions about the right path for a player, the board can help sort it out.
CYF Rec registration is currently closed and expected to open at the beginning of the new year. Families can join the notification list now and CYF will email when registration opens.
